 My proud moment for term 4 is that i went from level 4 in maths at the start of the year and am  now level 6.

                                                                Snow camp

This year we were fortunate enough to go on a ski camp.My favorite part of snow camp was when i was at the hot pools and i went in the warm water hydro slide.We went for  a walk through a forest and saw rivers,waterfalls,ferns and much more.We went skiing or snowboarding at mount ruapehu .It was freezing!. I had heaps of fun and am grateful for being able to go.For inquairy we had to find a problem at the hot pools or mount ruapehua.I chose to to do the ski moutain.I thought that I was waiting forever.j

                                                      Welcome to 2016                                                                                  My name is Kayla.I am a year 5 and a only child .I am 9 years old . I love horses and my bird  friend,bubbles.My favourite subject is reading. I have lots of books at home and have almost read all of them.I like riding horses , I do not have my own pony, yet.I have been bitten 2 times by horses. I love all animals not including bugs.I am half Maori.This is my first primary school.

          I felt like I had nerve  butterflies in my tummy.We were about to perform in front of the hole 
         pirongia school.My dad and my nana were here to.suddenly I was up on stage .I sing and soon it is over."waewae aue"soon enough we split in half like a kid trying to peel a banana.clomp,clomp,clomp,feet drop like a bird plummeting to the ground . I gently drop my feet like a fairy landing just like we were supposed to.

For inquiry we had to think of a question and then research it ,we then made videos and models
to go with your question.My one was why do rocks go different colours  when coming from the same volcano.I finally got my answer.My model was a volcano,i cut half of the sand off so you could look into it.I died the volcano red.It wasn't real die, it was just felt red paper.Put the paper on the sand. You drizzle water over the red paper, leave it there for a few minutes.When you take it off it should be red. Be very careful NOT to poor water once died.

                                                   2016 Noho trip

Kahikitea  team went to the Mari for a overnight stay.We did carving,weaving and played with rakau sticks.
Carving was really hard you had to get a chizal and put it in the wood and get a mallet and bang
it.
Weaving was fun you have to put one bunny ear behind the other bunny ear.I made 11 flowers 
and  I got given 1 from Mrs Cullen.All together i have 12 flowers.I still continue to make them.

For the rakau we had a song in the background and during the song we had to bang it on the ground 2 times then throw them to the your partner and catch them.It was so hard.

After all that we had  fun running around playing tag.The girls slept in the air conditioned room while the boys had too stay in the non-air conditioned mattress room.
