Up i climb,up the rocky side of the wall.One of my hands slips and falls to my side.I wait a few seconds,Then the rope gets pulled and i fly up,my hand flailing at my side helplessly.I ring the bell and it echos around the room.I sit there waiting ,then i`m dropped and at an enormous speed ,at the last second i`m pulled up.My feet touched the ground.Rock climbing done.

Tuesday:On Tuesday i had a great time with Stu Duval when he came to school.I enjoyed the writing workshop and the cartooning workshop and the show he put on in the afternoon..I really liked the workshops that he did.

Wednesday:The book fair was really cool and i liked seeing everyone's costume and i really liked being in the parade.

Horse Riding:Horse riding was our first activity and i was looking forward to riding.I  did find it a bit boring because all we did was walk.The most exiting bit was were Shuffles jumped a river.I really liked my pony and i enjoyed riding on him but i would have liked to do more.

Kayaking:I really liked doing it even though i crashed into the reeds a few times.It was my first time in a kayak and i was a little confused about going backwards,forwards,left and right.But by the end of it i had a very wet butt. 

Rock Climbing:My favourite part of rock climbing was going down.I found rock climbing fun and i enjoyed doing it especially when he lifted me up for the top of it ,It was really fun.

Scavenger Hunt:The scavenger hunt was really cool but a bit gross with having to pick up poo.The hardest items to find was the turkey feather, pine-cone and a proper silver fern which i found later after the scavenger hunt , A branch with silver ferns on it in our dorm room,We called her Terence.

Next Day🌑🌅

Raft Building:We had to make our raft really steady because we did NOT want to get wet so early in the morning.Our first attempt we failed so we disentangled our boat and tried again.We weaved our net so that it looked like a hay net.We did it well and we all got on and eventually it broke underneath someone and they all got wet ,luckily i wasn't on it at the time.

Slug Gun Shooting:Slug Gun shooting was a new experience and  i liked learning about it. I managed to hit a can and i was a bit surprised about that.I don`t think id do it again though.

Orienteering:I didn't really like orienteering and didn't really get it .But i didn't really get the activity till i thought about it more.It was definitely my least favourite activity.

Mud Run:The Mud Run was fun and one of the best bits was when we went through the warm water and when  we jumped of the green wharf and into the water even though it was really cold.

Burma trail:AMAZING,It was the best Burma trail ive been on and i really liked that all the parents were trying to scare everyone and it was funny to here everybody scream. 

This years camp was really good and i really enjoyed it ,But i would rate it nine out of ten because of all the injuries.

    

Reflection

Writing:I don't really like doing blogger that much but i did like writing a poem though i don't think it counted as a poem.

Calendar art:i really liked doing calendar art and i really liked doing the backgrounds the best.

We had to chose a easy song and we had 7 practices to learn it.Room 8 chose heathens but we did have to change the lyrics.Hope you enjoy the video above.

Term three

production:Production was really fun to do and i really liked the costumes and the make up but i did not like how hard it was to brush all the knots out of our teased hair.The production was a  lot more fun than doing work.Learning the fairy's dance was a lot harder than it could have been because everybody was arguing so we didn't learn the dance very well but in the end we did an amazing performance.I really liked our production ,even though we didn't get to see the look on the peoples faces as we slid under the seats.

Reflection

Reading:the taiha reading activity was okay but some of the activities , i didn't really get .  

Writing:It was okay having to make similes but it felt really forced and i couldn't think of anything.

For production i was a fairy,we had 4 weeks to learn our lines,dances and our cues.We didn't have that much time, but thanks to the helpful parents and teachers our scenery looked amazing.The production was very fun even though it really hurt trying to brush our hair after it was teased and our make up was just the same.    

Reflection

Maths:I still don't know fractions properly but i would like to learn them a bit better.The blocks game was easy to figure out so i understood it really well and how player two could win like...

Maths:I really like  doubles and halves but i really want to play it more than what we usually do.Division is getting really boring and i don't enjoy it anymore and i'm getting more wrong now.I don't really like mathletics which is why i only have 2,490 points this week.

Reading:The Albert Einstein proof reading was extremely hard and after 15 minutes we only found 3 mistakes.

Static images:I really need to finish off the autumn side of my coloring in side.

Maths:The maths questions out of the F.I.O books where easy and i thought that they could have made it a bit harder.The arcade games was really easy and i would have liked some more of those questions.

Reading:The sentences were really hard to do because half of the words i didn't even know what they meant.

Maths:The test we were given i thought that number 2 was the hardest and so was number 5 because of the percentages.I don't like percentages now(not that i did before)On mathletics i have 910 points so far.

Writing:My speech research is going really  well and I've planned it out nicely so I've got my 3 paragraphs ready to go.

Reading:

When we went to the mat with Mr Gemmell we had a idea to continue the story but chose our own ending  and for writing that would be a really cool idea.

Madlibs :I really liked  doing the madlibs but didn't get what Mrs Bryant meant about the

printing two pages and how to set it up and the highlighting and pretty much everything else except that we had to write a story but i liked filling in the words on the madlibs on the computer.😐

Maths: I really didn't like the basic fact test that Mrs Strathern did with us.🙁

Auditions:I felt like an absolute idiot doing my audition and i'm pretty sure that i won't  the part i wanted.😪

Matariki :I liked doing the matariki art with room three,It was fun and i think me and my buddies ones turned okay. 🙂

Music:We are playing heathens by 21 pilots .We have been practicing for 8 weeks and have had 1 or 2 practices a week.Music was my favorite because we got to learn how to set up the microphones and use the speaker.

Gym:I really hate the beam now.The best thing about gym was that we got to the vault.We have been practicing for gym sports and it wasn't the best rotation out of all of them .

Large ball skills: I wasn't that keen on doing large ball skills.I did like doing soccer kicks with Mr Mathews.Basketball was the worst.

Maths:I didn't really get much done when we were doing F.I.O (figure it out)but what i did get done was a ok amount of work.We didn't do much maths because of rotations in the morning.

Reading: I am up to 12 books on the hundred book challenge.I am about to get my pen license hopefully.

Writing: We have been focusing on speeches again.I am ahead on my speech already and have an idea of how i'm going to do it.

Maths:For maths i found that the work we did on the mat was really easy.The write what strategies you know sort of  caught me off guard.My real favourites of working things out though are:

Writing:The speech topics didn't really pop out at me this year.I decided on combining kids today lack integrity and just because we can does it mean we should.I have been looking up some heavy facts for my speech like kids learn from their role models so if someone did something bad and it happened to be the role model they would copy and do the same thing.

Reading:I have finished 5 books for the 100 book challenge.I am enjoying the all activities we are being set except one.Weekly spelling.

Maths:This week we learnt about 3d and 2d shapes like a cylinder a sphere,a cube,a rectangular prism and a triangular prism.The sphere relates to a circle the cube relates to a square.We also did algorithms with 3 digit 4 digit and 5 digit numbers.

Reading:Weekly spelling takes too much time to do and it does’ nt teach me anything.

Writing:We were focusing on speeches for writing this week.

                                                                          Integrity game

We did jump,under,over find.The little kids loved our game.I enjoyed playing the game with the little kids .Me and Emily and keira did it with me .We also teamed up with William,Braxton and Lewis.The little kids had a great time and we could tell because their were smiles all over their faces.I enjoyed playing with them and they were delighted when we told them that they could keep their prizes!!!!!!!!The little kids were amazing.

Milk monitor trip

10 milk monitors were chosen to go to Te awamutu, fonterra. One of these people was me.As we got of the bus I saw a large building.The top of the building was made of blue watery glass.As we walk in I saw what i was not expecting.A staircase was hiding a bunch of trolleys and some hay bales,but it could not hide the herd of cow balloons that were held down by party favors. The stone staircase lay dead still as we climb the staircase not really knowing what was at the top.As we near the end of the climb chatter spreads along like wild fire.  Long trestle tables lye in the room.As we sit down Claire introduces herself.Claire tells us that it is morning tea even though we just got there.There are yogurts,water and fruit.I take a water and sit back down.After morning tea we get given another band,a hat and a lanyard.The lanyard will let us get around the factory without getting thrown out. Dwan comes out and tells us what we have to do.It sounds fun(and embarrassing) We get given a number and the person with the number you were given was the person you were with.Me and Keira were with Tracy.Tracy told us that we were teaming up with another group.Luckily it was another pirongia group. Dwans group! In the other group was Isla,Lily and Lexi .We went down the stone steps to grab our trolley.I was the trolley pusher,Lily the bell ringer,Lexi and Keira the main singers.We went round the offices singing and telling them to come into the kitchen to watch our presentation.As we got into the kitchen for the first time the adults flooded into the kitchen to watch.We handed the milk out to the adults,we also handed out some milk facts. Dwan read them out the adults.Then came the best bit we played...........THE PIE FACE GAME!!!!A man came up and got a face full of cream! So did the rest of the adults.Then we had a milk folding competition.The winner got a tea voucher so did the first person who played the pie face game. At the end of the day we went up in the great glass elevator !!!
we each got a cow balloon and we went away happy and full of laughter.

Treaty of waitangi

Music

For inquiry we rotated from room 10 to room 9 and then to room 8.We did this for 8 week.We went on field trips to see what it was like when the Maori/ Pakeha war was happening and what mistake they made on the treaty of waitangi that ruined the hole point of the treaty.We researched went on more trips and put our information to use.We then filmed our self talking about  what we had researched.

Integrity games:We made up a game that would be fun,different and entertaining.We didn't have much time to make them up.The couldn't be the same as games we already knew. Jump,under, over find was awesome!!We didn't need to much equipment compared to other groups.The little kids loved our game,we could tell by their smiles and laughter.

Music:Playing the keyboard was fun.The guitar was even better!I loved playing the guitar strings and it was definitely harder than ukulele!

Maths:It really mucked me up when we tried kaydens way to do the 31 x 4.It really confused me and i couldn't do the rest of them without getting it wrong.

Reading: Yesterday (Thursday)I thought that i had to much work to do with the handwriting and word find and the long o sentence and make your own word find and the armadillo writing.

Writing: I don't know what to write i don't really like anything about writing.

Maths:I m not really a fan of fractions and didn't really get them that much but i would like to have a recap session.The dot grids i found ok.I wouldn't chose to do them but i don't mind doing them.

Writing:I like doing similes so i find metaphors ok.But they're not my favourite.I sort of like converting similes into metaphors.

Reading:My fave like reading my chapter book instead of the journal i take home.

Maths:I like doing the area game with my best friends(keira and Emily )but i think it puts me off being the only girl in my group.I like doing doubles and halves for warm ups,it helps me think a bit more.

Reading:i have been doing  a lot of reading at home and over the week i have finished 3-4 books.I really like doing brain banks as activities.

Writing:I don't really like writing and we haven't done much of it.  

🌸assembly🌸

We spent a week practicing and rehearsing for the week 4 assembly.Finally the day came.Room 8 did tempo,fast and slow.Amy was the conductor.At the end  we did a mix  of all the classes.It sounded awesome . Room 10 was singing integrity and room 9  was do the right thing and room 8 was when no ones watching.While we were singing were playing with rakau sticks.Then we shared our potipoti  flowers (flax flowers) we had made.
